Department of NCC:

Introduction:

NCC department is working as a co curricular activities in the institute to promote the student behaviour to become the polite,honest, sincere and discipline, brave, skill personalities and an ideal citizen. In every academic year 108 students has been enrolled for NCC training such selection is depend upon several physical and ground test as well as academic qualities.

History:

NCC department has been started in 1968 and has offered a multiple programs to students, who are mostly belongs to rural area, to develop their personalities from its establishment. The first HOD was professor 2/LT K S. Deshmukh and his tenure was 1968 to 14-01-1974.Later, professor and lieutenant A.M. Agarkar15-01-1974 to 5-8-1980, professor and Major N.V.Chavan from 6-8-1980 to31-12- 1998.had worked as HOD. Major PandarinathGhugeis appointed as HOD in 1-1-1999 and serving still today.
The participation in National level mountaineering camp, participation in all India basic leadership camp, participation in republic day parade campDelhi and national level Thalsenacamp Delhi are the greatest achievements.

Objectives:

  1. fulfil the requirements expected in the latest socio-economic scenario in India.
  2. To develop character, discipline, comradeship, secular outlook, ideals of selfless services and adventure spirits amongst large numbers of young citizens.
  3. To create a pool of trained, organized and motivated youth with various leadership qualities in every walk of their life and serve the Nation irrespective of career they choose.
  4. To provide a sound environment conducive towards motivating large numbers of young people of India to join armed forces.

Co-curricular activities:

This department gives many opportunities to students to participates in various co curricular activities. All the student actively participated in every activities under the guidance of honourable major P.VGhuge, such as acleanliness,New voters awareness programme and really, AIDS prevention awareness program and rally, international yoga day celebration ,tree plantation programmes, covid-19 vaccination camp ,and covid prevention awareness rallies.

  2. Washing and refreshment allowance as per norms
  3. Carrier guidance cell facility
  4. NCC B and C certificate Exam guidance cell
